Today I satisfied Mama‘s literary-induced pastrami craving.
In a book she was reading, a character described a pastrami sandwich that was inches thick and loaded down with all the fixings and a side of cole slaw. Having been stuck with mostly soup and tea for days, I think we were both itching for something to chew. We searched Yelp and found a highly recommended deli nearby called Dada’s.
These enormous pastrami sandwiches served as both lunch and dinner for us today — and they were glorious! The deli staff was really kind as well. The woman threw in a complimentary piece of lemon poppyseed bread made by her mother! We’ll definitely return!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was fulfilling Mama’s pastrami craving!

Looks great, but since my MGB I’d only manage 2 mouthfuls at most 😦
It doesn’t stop me wishing though.

It was delicious, but I admit it took me a long time to eat it. It was so thick I couldn’t really get my mouth around the whole thing and ended up eating it very creatively 🙂
Sorry to hear about your MGB, Rob. Hope you are doing well!
