Our first zucchini harvest

Today’s #OneGoodThing was harvesting our very first zucchini from our garden!

Our zucchini went from garden-to-table-to-mouth within minutes and it was amazing! We sautéed it in olive oil with a little salt, pepper, and lemon juice. It was naturally buttery and delicious — and the freshest zucchini we’ve ever eaten!

    • That’s wonderful! How did it turn out, Joshua? We planted corn last year and we loved watching it grow! Our corn came out a bit too starchy tasting though so we decided to try watermelon and zucchini instead this year.

      • Turned out there was a caterpillar in each ear. We ended up cutting off the parts the caterpillar ate and kept the rest. A few ears look like they will be starchy, but the rest looks really good.
