Adorable little note, MUSH and more

Mama wearing her new glasses and eating MUSH

Mama’s new glasses were ready for pick up today and she looks ADORABLE! They fit her well and she’s thrilled with them; plus, she got to meet my new friend, the Optical Goddess!

When we got home, a box Mama and I were eagerly awaiting arrived! It was the MUSH Overnight Oats we saw pitched on SharkTank. MUSH is described as all natural, cold-soaked, ready-to-eat oats. We were impressed that the “Sharks” couldn’t stop eating the samples; so we got a sample pack for ourselves. This handy breakfast (with spoon included) is high in fiber and protein, but contains no added sugar, preservatives, or artificial flavors or colors. MUSH is also dairy free and naturally gluten free. And it’s delicious! We can’t wait to try the other three flavors for our next breakfasts!

So at this point, we already had two great options for today’s #OneGoodThing — and then our hearts just melted. Around dusk, I noticed a little note taped to our backyard fence, flapping gently in the wind. I went outside to collect it and found a sweet message handwritten by our 5-year-old neighbor: “I love you Gabriana and Jude From Spirit.”

This heartbreakingly cute note was in answer to a colorful “Good Morning Spirit & Jamaica” note we’d recently taped to Mama’s window for the girls to find (their windows face each other). We could hardly contain our excitement for them to discover it. This afternoon we confirmed they’d seen it during a lovely wee visit at the back fence with Spirit and her mother, Vashti (the mensch)We just adore this family; so now it’s our turn to make another window sign for the girls!

Today’s #OneGoodThing was having several awesome options for #OneGoodThing! Hooray for good days!!!

Day 339 of 365.  And Day 705 in a row!

1 year ago today: Nervous, but a new face mask
