I’m re-reading my literary hero’s memoir in advance of seeing her in person later this month.

I absolutely adore Jennifer Weiner and her many books, which have had a lasting impact on my own writing and life. I identify with her on many levels, and I am beyond excited to see her!

Reading in the sun is such a lovely feeling, so Mama and I decided to kick back in our backyard oasis. I dragged out our summer cushions for the first time in months, and we all settled in to enjoy the sunshine. While Mama was reading one of her favorite Tagore poetry books, I picked up “Hungry Heart — Adventures in Life, Love, and Writing” for another reading.

Today’s #OneGoodThing was enjoying an afternoon of sun at home with my girls and a great book! Bonus: I made delicious shredded chicken tacos with corn salsa and jack cheese; it was insanely easy thanks to our InstantPot and they were so good!
