Lanterns & sarongs enhance oasis

I spent much of the day cleaning our backyard oasis to get it ready to host our upcoming party. Power-washing cushions and furniture wasn’t much fun, but it was made better with music blasting and imagining how nice it’ll be to share the space with loved ones. I also hung colorful sarongs and glowing paper…

Rosemary fingers

I rearranged our herb garden this afternoon and I love how the scents of mint, rosemary, and oregano lingered on my fingers. Warm temperatures made it another perfect day for gardening. Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was enjoying the scents of fresh herbs on our fingers. What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments!…

DIY Backyard Bench

Blue skies and blooming garden

Beautiful blue skies beckoned us into the backyard this afternoon. Mama and I enjoyed being in our garden again, breathing the fresh air, and seeing the colorful flowers still in bloom. Today’s #OneGoodThing was a lovely afternoon outside with Mama! Day 291 of 365. And Day 1,022 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!  1 year ago…

De-stressing in the garden

Today I planted Mama’s red Abutilon plant outside her window, along with several herbs and these pretty Petunias! It felt good to release stress through gardening and breathing fresh air. The colorful, covered patio (on the right) is outside our kitchen window. That’s an old laundry platform that we converted into a love seat. Mama and…
