Today was my 6th round of immunosuppressant infusion therapy, a low-dose chemotherapy used as treatment for Crohn’s Disease.
In the past I was nervous about getting chemo. But after yesterday’s horrible flare, I was just eager for the chemo to kick my immune system’s ass — like a punishment for attacking itself.
I was dehydrated after throwing up water yesterday so I was worried about the IV, but I had an amazing nurse who found a vein on the first go! This is not common for me and I was grateful.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was getting the treatment I needed, including IV fluids. Also, major thanks to my friend Kelley who takes me to these super long appointments!
Day 66 of 365. And Day 797 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!
1 year ago today: Fresh, short haircut
2 years ago today: Clarity in the bathtub
