I’ve been spending more time on the cold bathroom floor lately as my Crohn’s Disease has been flaring. I was quietly miserable in the bathroom earlier today, when suddenly Paisley forcefully pushed open the closed door and took up her role as goofy watchdog.
This funny, yoga-like pose is one of Paisley’s favorites and it always makes me smile. I immediately took this photo and sent it to Mama, because today’s #OneGoodThing was my insistent companion!
Day 160 of 365. And Day 891 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!
1 year ago today: Fik-Shun dancing on repeat
2 years ago today: The first plums from our tree!
What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments!

Hope you get some respite soon, Paisley is a sweety.

Thanks Rob! I was able to move up my next Crohn’s chemo infusion sooner so there’s hope on the horizon! Paisley is an absolute love and comfort!!!

That’s good to hear. I hope all goes well.
It’s amazing how they can sense when you need support. After my gastric surgery I struggled with food, and would spend the hour or so after every meal with my head in the loo. And our wonderful Birman cat, Chico would guard me, sitting by my feet and keeping everyone away, but keeping one paw on my foot, just to say “I’m here”.
And I’m in tears writing it, whilst he’s looking at me as if to say “Soppy beggar”

Awww, I love this story, Rob! It is so special to hear about our animals loving us in this way. I hope food is less of a struggle for you now. Be well!

Thanks, yes, I’ve recovered from the Bypass and am now settled with my new diet/life: small portions, no/low carb and low sugar. Oh and no fizzy drinks!!
