We got to see blue sky again today for the first time in nearly two weeks. Heavy smoke has blanketed the entire Bay Area, though the wildfire is about 150 miles north of us.
Mama and I have been wearing our disposable air masks that we got during last year’s big wildfire. But we read that these need to be replaced to be effective, so we ordered new ones online. They arrived today, just in time for the air quality to dip into the “Orange,” which means it is “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.” All three of us actually fall under that category, but we just couldn’t stand to be trapped inside by dangerous air any longer.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was the thrill of seeing blue sky again on a neighborhood walk with Mama and Paisley!
Day 324 of 365. And Day 1,055 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!
1 year ago today: Learning a new craft
2 years ago today: Sunflower centerpiece
6 years ago today: Lose something in the canals?

We take basic things like air and water far too much for granted.
