Dodging torrential rain

L: Flowers outside the office; R: Mama and Tess

We got slammed by rain today in Santa Rosa — except that Mama and I had the incredible luck of missing the worst of the raging storm by mere minutes.

Mama, Paisley, and I watched the torrential downpour from inside the chiropractor’s office, where we were thrilled to see our favorite office staff member. Tess is one of those people who radiates light and joy from within, so we intentionally schedule appointments on Saturdays (the only day she works there). Tess also gives some of the best hugs around and greets us like old friends.

When it was time to leave, the rain let up again briefly. We enjoyed these beautiful flowers on our thankfully dry walk back to the car. This nifty trick of just missing the rain happened twice again as we ran errands on the way home.

Today’s #OneGoodThing was missing the rain, but not Tess! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments!

Day 40 of 365. And Day 1,136 in a row (here’s the first 366, & the following 365, & the third year of 365 good things)!

1 year ago today: Reaching my own back

2 years ago today: Much needed hugs

3 years ago today: Soup delivery from friends
