I have notoriously shitty veins, which then gives me anxiety whenever I know I’m going to be stuck. But today, an absolutely wonderful nurse from the Oncology wing was able to get my IV going on the first try. Hooray!
It may sound nutty, but I was looking forward to today’s infusion, my 14th round of Crohn’s chemo. I’m eager for it to whip my overactive immune system into submission. My guts have been angry lately regardless of what I am able to eat.
Today’s infusion went especially well as Nurse Jamie set it as a slow drip alongside fluids, and I scored one of the private rooms again. It was great to catch up with my good friend Kelley, who’s been my chemo buddy from the start.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was the kind and talented Nurse Jamie at Kaiser Santa Rosa Infusion Center! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments!
