A busy, joyful day

Matthew and Mama at Ritual Salon in Santa Rosa; Mama at Frozen Art; Annie at Kozlowski Farms

Today began with Mama’s new haircut with our fabulous stylist Matthew. It is always a pleasure when we get to see him, but today was just especially wonderful.

We couldn’t find parking at first, but Matthew was miraculously standing outside the salon when we pulled up and was able to haul Mama’s rollator walker out of the trunk for me and help her inside while I parked. Paisley and I enjoyed the sunshine on our stroll to the salon, where the women at the desk warmly greeted our little girl by name! While Mama underwent her transformation and visited with Matthew, Paisley and I walked around downtown and nosed our way through one of our favorite shops filled with local treasures.

In the afternoon, we found ourselves in the neighborhood of Kozlowski Farms, which we’d been wanting to visit for several years. We seized the moment and had a great time tasting the various jams and sauces. Their cherry jam is HEAVEN!

On the way back home, we passed an organic nursery that we love and stopped in for a few plants to round out our garden. I found two more varieties of mint to add to our assortment, as well as seeds for our Morning Glory/Moonflower garden arch.

As if the day was not already full of joy, Mama and I decided on one more small adventure. We’d promised ourselves a celebratory trip when I finished our taxes to a nearby ice cream shop that was recommended to us. Mama and I were blown away by the unusual flavors and huge variety. It was a delicious treat!

Today’s #OneGoodThing was a busy, joyful day with Mama! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments!
