A heat wave has paralyzed us. It was 102-degrees at the peak and stayed that way until well after 5 p.m.—only just dropping below 80 around 11 tonight.
Though I watered our garden early in the morning, Mama and I have stayed indoors. Our efforts to keep cool expanded to our full arsenal. We finally switched on the portable A/C we got a couple of years ago. We used these lovely cooling neckties that our friend Nicole made and we drank a pitcher of Passion Fruit Iced Tea. Dunking washcloths into an icy bath with Florida Water, and then draping them over our hot faces, was by far the most cooling and relaxing of all.
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was our heat wave arsenal! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments!

Cooling and loving thoughts to you three. We also have a heat wave here and not even an ocean breeze. Ice tea and damp cloths at 321 15th also.

We’ve been getting two months’ worth of rain in one day! And a temperature around 52°F. And it rained all day yesterday too!
