Though we don’t usually cut the flowers in our garden, we made an exception since it is way too smoky to safely enjoy them in the outdoors at the moment.
All grown from seeds and bulbs, these gorgeous little sunflowers, zinnias, and a dahlia now adorn our living room. It was exactly the brightening we needed as stress levels mount with a pandemic, heatwave, and now wildfires.
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was bringing the garden inside. What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

Just what you needed … wildfires! I dread this coming summer here in Australia.

Honestly, Yvonne, this feels like the straw that broke the camel’s back in terms of stress levels. We were coping with the pandemic plus political unrest plus heatwave, but the wildfires and smoke are just too much on top of it all. My heart breaks for those who have been forced to evacuate and many who have lost their homes. And during a pandemic, where do you even go? So scary!!!
