It’s been a while since I’ve baked our favorite Italian pear and bittersweet chocolate cake. This is always my go-to bake when I’m feeling down. I was finally able to get the energy to make it tonight and it was as delicious as ever!
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama is baking once more! Many thanks to our neighbors for sharing baking powder so I could do this! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

FYI if you are baking late and you can’t ask your neighbor for baking powder, you can make your own. Whisk 1 tablespoon baking soda with 2 tablespoons cream of tartar. The cake looks delicious. Will you share your recipe?

Ahhh that’s good to know! Thanks, MoDi!!! This is just like the Cake Remer that we shared together in Venice 10 years ago. The recipe is from SmittenKitchen: https://smittenkitchen.com/2009/01/bittersweet-chocolate-and-pear-cake/
Enjoy! Sending much love!!!
