A good friend of mine stopped by to give me hugs tonight.

I may be 3.5 months into this new phase of caregiving, but the transition has been very challenging. My last Crohn’s treatment didn’t provide much relief. And important things just keep breaking or going wrong. Honestly, each day feels like a hurdle.

When my friend learned I’d been struggling to get myself to eat, she strongly encouraged me to order takeout and drove me to pick it up. This is true friendship.
