My Mama, at age 89, came to live with us. Joe and I were her daily caregivers for two years. I was teaching halftime, so we were fortunate to find a young Bulgarian lady to come and stay with Mama for the morning hours. Latinka showered and clothed Mama and fed her lunch. Then, Joe and I cared for her the rest of the day. Mama died in her bed at age 92. I was with her as she breathed her last.
