Today I planted Mama’s red Abutilon plant outside her window, along with several herbs and these pretty Petunias! It felt good to release stress through gardening and breathing fresh air.
The colorful, covered patio (on the right) is outside our kitchen window. That’s an old laundry platform that we converted into a love seat. Mama and I painted it light blue and made it comfy with giant turquoise cushions. I strung up lights, and we added a table we found at our local Habitat for Humanity Restore and a woven recycled plastic outdoor rug.
This lovely scene tends to become dirty and cluttered during the winter. Plus, Paisley also likes to do her business in the region, since it is covered, but today, I power washed away the gross and made it habitable.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was de-stressing in the garden and ending up with a beautiful place to be.
Day 144 of 365. And Day 875 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!
1 year ago today: Time spent together
