Art and live music filled our rainy afternoon. Mama and I met up with friends at a local museum to see a band called Dirty Cello perform.
Before the concert, we walked around the Art Museum of Sonoma County and fell in love with the work of Jack Stuppin. I was fascinated with his vibrant oil painting technique. His paintings have texture and feel dimensional.
And then suddenly, out of nowhere, we got to meet the artist personally! I couldn’t believe it! We went back through the museum again, and when I circled back, he was still there! He was kind enough to chat with me about how he developed his unique technique.
The concert was wonderful as well. First a quartet of ladies sang lovely Babershop melodies. And then Dirty Cello performed. We especially loved how the Cellist threw her head back and was feeling the music. She was a joy to watch and we look forward to listening to their cd!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was meeting an artist whose work I love and admire — and enjoying live music and art with Mama and our beloved More Diane! Major #OneGoodThing of the day was getting hugs from More Diane!
Day 105 of 365. And Day 836 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!
