Jennifer Weiner mentions me and I WON!!!

I got a thrill on Monday evening when my favorite author mentioned me on Facebook! I had entered a giveaway for an advance copy of her new novel, Big Summer, and I ACTUALLY WON!!!! This is the most exciting thing to happen all year, and it was exactly the cheering up I needed after all of my April birthday plans got nixed in the lockdown.

I’ve been a huge fan of Jennifer Weiner’s work since her first book. I can still remember picking it up at Bookshop Santa Cruz and feeling like it had been written directly to me. That book helped me through a terrible heartbreak and I’ve been an avid fan of hers ever since. I even tried to meet her at a reading in the Bay Area a couple of years ago. One day I hope I can tell her myself how much her work has meant to me.
