Pumpkin ice cream from Mimi’s in Sebastopol
Wednesday’s #OneGoodThing was enjoying pumpkin ice cream at home with Mama, after enduring five painful (and expensive) hours at the dentist. I had an allergic reaction near the end and had to take Benadryl when I got home, which rendered me unable to post this yesterday. It was a shit day, but at least I got some ice cream. What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! Kindness is Everything.
Day 282 of 365. And Day 1,378 in a row (here’s the first 366, & the following 365, & the third year of 365 good things)!

My good thing was discovering that Hank the Huntsman spider who is huge, and has taken up residence in my bathroom, has an offspring in the living room. I’ve named him Hank Junior. This was also my bad thing! 🙂
Root canal stuff isn’t for sissies!

I just took many deep breaths and moved him outdoors, using a glass bowl and sheet of paper. I feel much happier!

Owwww! I had to have one recently, but needed the wisdom tooth next to it to come out. Here in NL this is done at the Hospital (Gusthuis!)so had to sit in a waiting room full of kids getting their braces tweaked and oldies like me getting teeth yanked!.
Love from Haarlem and reminders that it gets better…….

Thanks Rob! Sorry to hear you’ve been having dental issues too. The root canal was painful, but the allergic reaction while the crown was being made just made it so much worse this time. The fact that basic healthcare doesn’t include dental means this will have a huge impact financially. But two days later, at least my face is getting less painful and puffy!
