With mandatory evacuations just a couple blocks from our home, we couldn’t take the stress of it all—or all the smoke in the air—and we left to stay with a friend in Sacramento. We arrived in the middle of the night after a stressful day of packing and a long drive, and we were welcomed with open arms.
I haven’t seen my friend Jen in more than a decade, but we’ve kept in touch on Facebook. We are so deeply grateful to her and her husband, Michael, who even took me to pick up a prescription this afternoon.
Though it isn’t under the best of circumstances, it is such a joy to see Jen again and spend time with her and her talented husband, shown here with his freshly made bagels from scratch!
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was our wonderfully kind and generous hosts! Many thanks to Jen and Michael!!! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! Kindness is Everything.
