I’ve been obsessively laundering our face masks after every use and have finally figured out the best drying method.
The actual clothes dryer wasn’t a great option because they came out in tightly wrinkled balls. For most of the pandemic, it’s been hot enough to lay the masks out on a flat surface and they dried overnight. Now that it is cold here in the Bay Area, that doesn’t work.
I created this hanging mask-dryer by loading up a plastic hanger with clips meant to hold skirts or pants. Each clip perfectly holds one mask. I hung it from a bathroom towel rack and all of our masks were dry within hours!
