After waking up with a migraine and GI upset, my body forced me to spend much of the day in bed. Thankfully this sweet girl took it upon herself to guard my rest.
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was our guardian of rest! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

That’s a great question and it’s a situation I struggle with on a regular basis. It’s why I was so terrified to be hospitalized in Nov. 2019. The answer is yes and no. She wears devices to monitor for falls so that helps. I keep her medications for the week organized and available. And I try to make easy-to-grab foods available in the fridge/pantry as well as microwave meals. But she needs reminding to take her meds and to eat. And because of her cognitive and physical disabilities, she needs assistance with ADL (activities of daily living). So that’s what I mean by yes and no. I can’t really be fully out of commission ever and I can never be gone for long.
