I couldn’t let Mama set up her new apartment without bringing some of our beautiful garden with her!

Most of our garden is already in pots due to gophers, so it wasn’t too hard to clear out a section I’d previously arranged outside her bedroom window.

Mama knew they’d be coming, but she didn’t know when. The dogs and I showed up with more art for her walls, freshly baked cookies, a homegrown bouquet of zinnias and gladiolus, as well as pots of petunias, pansies, fuchsia, and calibrachoa flowers. We were quite a sight making our way down the halls. But it was all worth it to see Mama’s face light up! She loved them!

The gorgeous turquoise outdoor rug I found on a Prime Day special, along with an accessible, comfortable patio chair that needs assembling. Soon.
