I met a new doctor today for a follow-up to my extreme case of shingles.
Having experienced medical gaslighting previously, I was anxious about today. The good news is that the rash on my head and neck finally healed. Even the scarring isn’t too bad. The crappy part is that there’s not much they can do for the continued pain and itching.
Today’s #OneGoodThing is a good-ish appointment! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

Those viruses sure know how to prolong the agony.

They sure do! The doctor kept stressing that I should not expect the pain and itching to go away any time soon. She kept repeating it’ll be a very long time. I guess it was nice to finally have a medical professional be honest about it with me. I think that might be the first time with this shingles episode. But it sucks.
