Renee’s macarons

Honestly, I’m still not feeling great, but I did a porch pickup of these incredible French macarons from a new friend who lives 3 minutes away. It was worth every ounce of energy it took.

I first met Renee in line at our small neighborhood post office. I was so fatigued I could barely stand, but I had to get my few homemade balm orders mailed after the virtual holiday craft fair. We arrived at the post office door at the same time and she kindly let me go first. Then we struck up a conversation, of course. She was sending out cookie orders for her business. I reached out later offering her a gift of my homemade balm. After all, bakers must get aches and pains too. I was thrilled she accepted.

This week I saw she was offering packs of her beautiful French macarons for weekend pickup. I was excited to snag one before she sold out! And then, this absolute sweetheart added a pack of classic macarons for me too! I was beyond touched. And I can confirm they are as delicious as they are gorgeous!
