During our recent trip to V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena, Mama and I drooled over their massive cheese counter. We found Mama’s favorite from Italy, Gorgonzola Dolce, and we picked up a couple of lovely brie cheeses to pair with our wine.
We’ve been eagerly looking forward to our cheese on crackers treat. One is a double cream brie and the other a triple, but I created a blind taste test for Mama. She correctly guessed which was which, and we both agreed that the triple cream had a slight edge over the double. It paired beautifully with Moscato di Asti wine and made for a delicious little feast!
As if this gastronomical #OneGoodThing weren’t enough, I discovered my favorite author will be hosting an event a couple of hours away from where I live. I shared it on Facebook this morning and now have tickets to go with a dear friend! I am SO excited!!!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was a brie vs. brie taste test with Mama — and the glorious anticipation of fun plans!
Day 29 of 365. And Day 760 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!

Gorgonzola dolce makes a great sauce for gnocchi, and sprinkle a few walnuts (broken up) on top. Yum.
