Listening to my book

Audiobook of “Hungry Heart” by Jennifer Weiner

I’ve been reading my literary hero’s memoir again in preparation for seeing her next week. But I’m not able to read as fast as I’d like to, because reading often triggers migraines. So I tracked down the audiobook today, and I was thrilled to find it is narrated by Jennifer Weiner herself!

I signed up for a free trial with Audible today, and started listening. This book is even better when you get to hear it with the tone, inflections, emphasis, and feeling of the author. It was amazing and I loved it!

With our second free trial credit, we downloaded “Born a Crime” by Trevor Noah, who we adore and got to see perform last year! Trevor narrated his audiobook as well, and it is wonderful!

Today’s #OneGoodThing was getting back into audiobooks! As a diehard book nerd, I used to read voraciously, but migraine pain has nearly killed my favorite pastime. It feels so good to have the world of books more available again. Luckily, our library has some free audiobooks to download after these two.

Day 39 of 365. And Day 770 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!

1 year ago today: Home fried bananas

2 years ago today: A cool vintage car — as old as its owner!

3 years ago today: Reading Nook Closet

  1. I love audiobooks! Do you have Overdrive? It’s free and connected to many different county library systems. You sometimes have to wait for a book or audiobook but it’s worth it
