Today was originally supposed to be a rest day — after my 6th round of Crohn’s chemo two days ago, that’s all I expected to be able to do.
But my plans to fill our fridge with healthy food for Mama just before that appointment were squashed by a bad flare up on Tuesday. I had to put off grocery shopping for the last few weeks, so we were had a serious shortage of fresh produce and ginger ale.
Today I pushed through major fatigue and accomplished what I didn’t think I could. So the #OneGoodThing of the day was successfully filling our fridge with good food that’s easy for Mama to grab and eat! Grocery shopping might not seem like much of an accomplishment, but to those dealing with chronic illnesses, it is. I felt really proud of myself.
Day 68 of 365. And Day 799 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!
1 year ago today: A Paisley sandwich
