Gabriana and Lisa

It’s only the first Friday of the new year, but my hermit-like tendencies were strong. I’m so glad I pushed myself to leave the house because I got to catch up with a dear friend I haven’t seen in nearly 20 years!

The Extraordinary Lisa Bonos and I know each other from high school youth group (NFTY) events and our first year of college in Israel. It turns out we also have a ton of other friends in common (yes, of course, we played a bit of Jewish geography).

Despite the years, we just picked right up and shared our lives with each other—authentically and with lots of laughter. It was exactly the fun Friday night social boost needed to start 2020 with joy!
