It’s been a strange Saturday filled with random good things. Today’s edition of freezer-diving yielded some delicious Trader Joe’s mandarin chicken and steamed rice, which I garnished with what I thought was our last orange. Then I discovered our tiny orange tree has given us our very first citrus fruit ever—truly excellent timing as we had no fresh fruit left at this point in quarantine.
The next wonderful thing to happen was the delivery of blue paint from the awesome manager of our neighborhood hardware store. Mama and I been wanting to paint our living room for ages; we’d gotten as far as picking up paint sample cards several months ago, but that was it. Now we can move forward with our plans to revamp ugly, beige walls into something beautiful, bright, and calming.
In the evening, we joined the global quarantine singalong. I serenaded Mama with “Tomorrow” from the musical Annie. No video evidence, but we had a great time.
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was the odd combo of successful freezer-diving, fresh homegrown oranges, blue paint delivery, and a song! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! Kindness is Everything.
