Plans for our 2020 garden have changed and expanded greatly as the quarantine continues and we worry about obtaining fresh produce.
We’ve been growing more food from kitchen scraps, and recently planted zucchini, cucumber, basil, and marigold seeds.
Mama and I found an excellent article in the Sunday edition of The San Francisco Chronicle with tips about growing an edible garden and wonderful illustrations. We also learned that during WWII about 40-percent of America’s produce came from victory gardens.
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was planning our victory garden! We’re so glad we’ve had the last several years of practice to help guide us! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! Kindness is Everything.
Day 96 of 366. And Day 1,557 in a row (here’s the first 366, & the following 365, & the third year of 365 good things, & the 4th year of good things)!
On this day…
- 1 year ago: Frozen yogurt in the rain
- 2 years ago: Our first strawberry
- 3 years ago: Caregiver bonding
- 4 years ago: Learning to jab myself with a needle
