Restaurant Week at home

Counter-clockwise from top R: Cesar salad, Steak with potatoes and vegetables, Black Forrest Cake

As curious foodies, Mama and I are always intrigued by Sonoma County Restaurant Week. We’ve mostly skipped it because we avoid crowds and loud dining atmospheres. But this year, because of the pandemic, we got to participate and support a local restaurant offering curbside take-out!

Mama and I were both excited to taste the cuisine of La Gare, an upscale French restaurant in Santa Rosa’s Railroad Square. This was the most elaborate and fanciest meal we’ve eaten in more than a year. It included FOUR courses (soup de jour not pictured) and each was absolutely delicious! This was also our very first Black Forrest Cake and WOW! I need to make this!

Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was experiencing Restaurant Week at home! Many thanks to La Gare in Santa Rosa for this mouth-watering feast!!! What a special treat! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

Day 53 of 365. And Now Totaling 1,880 Days In A Row. Here’s the first 366 and the following 365, as well as year three, year four, and year five of #OneGoodThing Daily!
