Exiting the car

Mama and I have been taking mini-day trips to the coast lately, though we haven’t been getting out of the car, mostly because of Covid. We also learned the hard way that sand and a walker don’t mix well, so we mostly enjoy the view and the ocean air from the comfort of our little car parked on a cliff. It has been amazingly calming and restorative. So today we went back for more!

And this time, we got out of the car! We discovered a state park beach that’s Accessible and includes nice bathrooms and well-spaced picnic tables. So we put towels on the table/bench (as a protective barrier) and enjoyed a feast that we’d brought. Though it wasn’t easy to traverse even 10 feet in the sand, it was worth the effort to be out in the sunshine and really feel like we were at the beach!

Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was exiting the car at the beach! And yes, we stopped for Fishetarian fish tacos on the way home! How could we not? Don’t miss these, if you’re in Bodega Bay! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!
