Due to some thieving crows, we had to remove all food from our Thank You Basket of snacks for delivery drivers. Today we found a clear plastic box with a lid that we’re hoping will deter the birds. I nestled the box next to the basket of waters. We hope this works!
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was attempting to outsmart the crows! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

So, not the Thieving Magpies, but a murder of crows, eh? You’re very thoughtful, doing that for the hard working delivery people.

Yes! I think there’s a whole murder of crows living in a very tall tree across the street. For months they would steal the food and then have the gall to eat it on the small table in our front yard–as if this is a buffet restaurant just for them! Ugh!
But honestly, we love providing drinks and snacks to drivers. We understand they have a mostly thankless job that only got busier during the pandemic. Seeing their reactions (through the doorbell camera, hearing them exclaim, and even a note once) was really the only interaction we were having with the world for a long time. We were and are grateful for that connection!
Oh and so far so good! A driver took a snack today and replaced the lid. So far it seems no further theft by crows! Yay!
