The day started out with magnificent news. The animal rescue that brought us our beloved Abby many years ago followed up on our email about searching for a sibling for Paisley. This sweet boy Benny is looking for his forever home and he seems like a perfect fit with us. We fell in love with him over video chat and can’t wait to meet him—and hopefully bring him home with us—on Saturday!

Then the universe needed to balance out the awesomeness and we discovered we had a flat tire from a nail puncture. Thankfully we ended up getting a nice AAA guy who filled the tire in our driveway. I took the car to a local tire shop to be repaired and read my book for a couple of hours while I waited. The tire people were very kind and I got to meet a female mechanic! So cool!
