When Mama was in her 20s and set up her first home with her husband, they got a jar of maraschino cherries for their fridge. It was a big deal to be able to have a cherry whenever they wanted.
So as I set up Mama’s new apartment in assisted living, it was not complete without a fresh jar of cherries. Mama giggled when I pulled them from the shopping bag. We each indulged in a cherry just before dinner!
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama is a cherry sign of freedom! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

I prefer the fancy Amarena ones that we can get at Trader Joe’s during the holiday season. But these fulfill the sentimentality!
