Wondering about weed? Me too!

Today was great! A friend and I attended a hands-on workshop on cannabis gardening led by the outstanding women of Wondering About Weed.

We learned about when is the best time and how to harvest our crops. And so much more! It was very cool to look at fresh buds under a microscope. The class was fun, engaging, and enlightening. Penny graciously signed my copy of her excellently organized book, The Cannabis Gardener. Meeting Penny and her WAW Co-Founder Kaisha was a major highlight. These two exude joy and their passion is truly inclusive.

It’s been a privilege to live in northern California, where there is a thriving cannabis culture, and where I’ve legally obtained cannabis for medical reasons for the last 15 or so years. This is my third year growing my own medicinal crop. I’ve found cannabis to be a huge help in alleviating pains from chronic migraines, Crohn’s Disease, fibromyalgia, and more. Due to stigma, I haven’t felt comfortable publicly sharing my connection with weed before. But, honestly, it’s one of the things that has helped me cope and survive.

Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama is the magnificent Wondering About Weed workshop I attended! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!
