I earned an A+ in self-care today. A dear friend gifted me an epic day at the spa.
The treatments began with tea overlooking a Japanese garden followed by a cedar enzyme bath. It felt similar to a mud bath, except surprisingly dry. It was an excellent way to warm up my tense body for a massage, which I enjoyed in an outdoor pagoda! I wandered around the spa’s beautiful zen garden and hung out in a hammock between treatments. The day ended with a wonderful facial that left my skin glowing.
The whole experience was incredible. I feel deeply grateful for this day of pampering and relaxation. Even hours later, I feel like a noodle. Experience the peaceful fountain for yourself in a video at the bottom of this post!

a wonderful, Zen day for you, indeed. Count your blessings. Be thankful for every day.
Tell your loved ones every day how much they mean to you and how much you love them. My husband died 14 months ago after coming home from a long bike ride. Even in a coma for almost 20 hours, he shed a tear when I whispered “I love you.” Moments later, his heart stopped.
