Much of today was spent sharing memories and photos of Jenessa’s beautiful life with Yavneh family classmates. I miss my childhood group of friends so much.
I want desperately to attend Jenessa’s funeral tomorrow morning, but my body is not cooperating. I know Jenessa would understand. But I’ve been working through big feelings around trying to go all day. So I set my mind to baking a cake to calm myself.
I performed a glow-up on a cake box mix only to discover my oven stopped working. Thankfully, my neighbor Ti let me use their oven and gave me hugs. I slathered a chocolate buttercream all over the cake and in between the layers. I enjoyed the slice missing and then cut off a large hunk for my neighbors with the working oven and words of encouragement.
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama is pouring my feelings into cake! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!
