After an inspiring, creative, exhausting week at my first Craftcation Business & Makers Conference, Benny and I made the long drive home from Ventura.
The views on the drive were wonderful (especially compared with the boring I-5 landscape). Before we even got on the highway, we spotted this gorgeous mural; and then we drove alongside the beach and palm trees for a while. Seeing the Golden Gate Bridge was a relief and comfort because that has always meant home to me.
The final push to get through today and get home was Herculean. My chronic illnesses acted up the entire trip and I had to use my “spoons” as wisely as possible. Physically, it was an incredibly difficult week. Though I tried to rest and pace myself, I pushed myself too much. There were just so many amazing people to meet and cool things to do. I suspect I will sleep for days as I recover from this monumental trip.
Today’s #OneGoodThing is a beautiful drive home! Hooray! We’re home safe! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!
