Today was my 67th immune-suppressing IV treatment for Crohn’s. I have no idea why I’m counting since there’s no end in sight. I’ve been in a lot of pain lately, so I countered that by putting on a bit of makeup and a comfy dress. It felt nice to briefly not look as sickly as I feel all the time.
Besides having Benny with me, the best part of these treatments is the amazing nursing staff. Today I was assigned to David who years ago taught me the mantra: “I am calm, my world is at peace.” Each part is said/thought with the inhale/exhale. I’ve found it very helpful.
Benny was Mr. Popular as always. My port, Portia, was not cooperative at first. But after some maneuvering, we worked it out.
Today’s #OneGoodThing is playing with makeup to hide my pain! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!
