Birthday surprise for Mama

Mini heart-shaped ginger cake with vanilla cream cheese frosting

I surprised Mama today by showing up in the middle of her Senior’s Memoir Writing Class with birthday cupcakes!

After dropping her off at class and secretly conspiring with the teacher, I dashed off home and baked the fastest dozen cupcakes of my life. I didn’t manage a photo of the ginger cupcakes with vanilla cream cheese frosting before they were happily gobbled up by Mama and her classmates. But I had just enough cake batter left to make a tiny heart-shaped cake in the tin Mama got from her grandmother. We shared this cutie pie cake after dinner tonight!

Today’s #OneGoodThing was surprising Mama with birthday cupcakes at her class! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! Kindness is Everything.

Day 276 of 365. And Day 1,372 in a row (here’s the first 366, & the following 365, & the third year of 365 good things)!
