A jumble of humanity—or elbow hugs

For the first time in nearly five months, we opened our front door to a social call. Our beloved neighbor—who we normally only get to see through the fence these days—stopped by with wine and candy.

Vashti is family to us and it felt incredible to see her in full. For everyone’s safety, we shared only elbow hugs. Being close to another human felt nice and a bit odd after such prolonged isolation. Mama declared our elbow hugs picture looked like a beautiful jumble of humanity.
