I’ve been struggling lately, both with solo caregiving and my own chronic illnesses. My support network has crumbled and it’s been rough. But today I saw hope for the first time in ages.
This lovely woman, Tara, a social worker care manager introduced by a friend, came to our home to meet with me and offer support. I felt so heard. And not at all judged. And she was not only brimming with great ideas for our exact situation—but she wants to help execute those ideas! Mind-blowing! There’s still much to be done, but at least now I have hope and some help.
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama is an angel come to help! Thank you, Tara, and thank you, Andy, for the introduction! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

She sounds good enough to count as 7 good things, i.e. a week’s worth of Good Things.
