This Saturday night I have finally taken myself out on a date—something that’s languished on my personal to-do list for more than a year.

Comedian Vir Das has several specials on Netflix and I’ve long been a fan. I enjoy his witty, thoughtful humor. When I saw that he was performing in the Bay Area, I worked up the courage to attend a very large event alone. I drove to The Masonic in San Francisco. I’ve been saving up “my spoons” to attend this comedy special all week!

As I was scoping out the iconic venue, Vir Das exited a car right in front of me. I couldn’t believe this beautiful, hilarious human was standing there. He was very nice and kindly agreed to a photo with me. Of course, I enjoyed his comedy as well. But getting to meet him was top-notch!
