Cold, dark winter nights are my least favorite time of year. It’s such a relief when we finally hit Daylight Saving Time and get longer light in the evenings. This time change makes a big impact on my seasonally extra heavy depression. The sky stayed light until after 7 p.m. tonight!
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama is more daylight! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

Joe, (RIP) my husband of 22 years, sunbathed whenever sunshine graced our neighborhood. He would strip down to nothing, grab a towel and a mat and bathe for at least an hour.
On another note, decades ago, my beloved Papa and I talked on the phone and I shed a few tears of sadness about my failing marriage. The next day, a delivery person rang my doorbell and handed me a basketful of glorious flowers along with a note that my Papa had written: ”The sun is always shining.”
