For the last week I’ve been hospitalized with severe shingles. I am massively grateful to be home now.
The angry, red rash across half my neck and head is slowing improving. However, the nerve pain has gotten worse.
The opioids didn’t help, making me sick to my stomach. With a nationwide shortage of the IV antiviral drug I need, there was no point in staying at the hospital if the treatment at home will be the same. I’d rather manage my pain at home with herbs anyway. So I got to go home!

Huge thanks to Mama, who came to visit every single day and take Benny out on walks! And thank you to our family friends who helped transport her!
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama is finally leaving the hospital! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

Benny will be glad to be at home, also. Here’s hoping that dreadful pain you are experiencing will ease soon. Hugs to all 3 of you.
