After a week cooped up in isolation at the hospital, Benny and I are deeply grateful to be home again.
The sharp, burning shingles pain in my head and neck is still unbearable. But at least at home I can mitigate this pain safely with cannabis, rather than subject my system to dangerous opioids any longer. And Benny is thrilled to be home where he can sunbathe freely again.
Today’s #OneGoodThing is appreciating being home! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! And remember, kindness is everything!

I met a dear little French bulldog, Kayla, yesterday, also a service dog for her owner. Kayla was having a day off, so she was able accept as many pats as I could give her. She was a rescue dog, had previously been owned by a registered breeder. Kayla developed fertility problems after the first litter, so her new owner happily took her into their home. Kayla’s daughter, Lily, will soon join her mother. I wish I could be there to see the reunion of mother and daughter.
Soak up that sun, Benny!
It’s good you can avoid those opioids.
