I’m having surgery this Wednesday; my gallbladder is being evicted due to troublesome stones.
In preparation, Mama and I are doing an entire weekend of self-care—today that ranged from a visit to our wonderful chiropractor to a home facial plus brow tint. I even got in a little work on a gardening project and picked up a new giant (read: heavy) bag of Paisley’s kibble, both tasks I won’t be able to do for a while after the surgery. I’ve been working to build up my strength, but I know that recovery will take time.
I’m not looking for sympathy. Rather, I’m asking that you please send good vibes/prayers our way for a smooth and uneventful surgery and a swift recovery. And if you’re in Santa Rosa, you’re invited to hang out with Mama in the waiting room. Many thanks to our friends who are taking us to and from Kaiser Hospital—you know you’ll be Wednesday’s #OneGoodThing!
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was self-care in preparation for surgery. What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! Kindness is Everything.

Let’s see if I can get the Italian right … In bocca al lupo! That means Good luck in Italian, but literally it’s “in the mouth of the wolf” .Love those Italians.
Are you having key hole surgery? Life sure has changed for surgical patients since I held the lamp for Florence Nightingale!
